The Rams fell on Sunday 49-21 to the Saints — a disappointing loss to be sure. Los Angeles came in tied for the league’s No. 5 scoring defense, but gave up seven touchdowns to the league’s top-ranked total offense heading into Week 12. As head coach Jeff Fisher characterized it on Monday, it was a performance unfitting what the Rams have established defensively.
“They had 13 drives, seven of which they scored touchdowns on,” Fisher said. “If you go back to the last two drives against Miami, we’ve given up nine touchdowns in 15 drives. And that’s not us, and that’s not what we’re about.
