Mixon will be draft's most controversial pick

There’s no doubt that Joe Mixon has first-round talent. But the Oklahoma running back has a past that may scream “hands off” to many NFL teams.

In the summer of 2014, Mixon was involved in a physical altercation with a woman in a Norman, Okla., cafe. She shoved him; he punched her, resulting in multiple fractured bones in her face.

Mixon was charged with misdemeanor assault and received one year’s probation, with mandatory community service and counseling. After being suspended for the entire 2014 season by Oklahoma, Mixon went on to play — and play very well — for the Sooners in 2015 and 2016 before turning pro two years early.
