JEFFERSON CITY • Fallout from St. Louis’ failed bid to keep the Rams from moving to Los Angeles is still reverberating in the Missouri Capitol.
State Rep. Scott Fitzpatrick, who is chairman of the powerful House Budget Committee, says state Auditor Nicole Galloway dropped the ball when she didn’t act quickly on his request to conduct an audit of the St. Louis Regional Convention and Sports Complex Authority in connection with a plan to build a new stadium to keep the Rams in town.
On Tuesday, Galloway announced she was planning to launch an audit of the sports authority in 2018, which will be more than two years after the NFL voted 30-2 to allow the team to depart.
