JEFFERSON CITY — State officials say they are not giving up on a plan to review failed efforts to keep the Rams from leaving St. Louis, even though no companies have stepped up to conduct the evaluation.
In March, as part of an ongoing push by Treasurer Scott Fitzpatrick, the state issued a request for a contractor to perform an evaluation of what turned into a $16.2 million scramble by the St. Louis Regional Sports Authority aimed at keeping Stan Kroenke from taking his football team to California.
But, no firms submitted bids for the review, which is estimated to cost $100,000.
