Longtime St. Louis sports-talk radio firebrand Kevin Slaten’s absence from the local scene is about to end.
Slaten, who hasn’t been on the airwaves since KFNS (590 AM) shuffled its lineup about three months ago, is set to return on KQQZ (1190 AM). This time, he said he will be mixing sports and political commentary on his show, which is to air from 7-9 a.m. weekdays starting Monday when the station converts from playing country music to a rabble-rousing talk format.
The station, for which Slaten has worked before, is run by Insane Broadcasting Company, a branch of Entertainment Media Trust.
