There are no words to describe what happened on the football field Monday night in Cincinnati.
Unfortunately, there are words to describe the ensuing dust-up between ESPN and the NFL over what was said on the air about a very serious situation — a life-threatening one.
In the game between the Bengals and Bills, Buffalo safety Damar Hamlin suffered a life-threatening injury in which he went into cardiac arrest and was hospitalized in critical condition after undergoing rigorous CPR on the turf.
It was one of the biggest games of the season, a matchup of Super Bowl contenders, first-place teams with marquee players and was in the “Monday Night Football” spotlight slot — on ABC as well as ESPN.
