Joe Buck had strong comments last year about the way the Rams were being operated when it looked as if they were about to abandon St. Louis.
“Suck the life out of a team, run it down, raise prices, then say it isn’t supported and leave,” he wrote on Twitter. “Great example for the NFL to celebrate. JOKE.”
He backed that up in other public comments, opinions that were shared by many in St. Louis.
But the fact that it came from the face of Fox Sports — he is its lead NFL, MLB and golf play-by-play announcer — made headlines.
