The BattleHawks bandwagon is stampeding across multiple St. Louis broadcast outlets.
The upstart team, in the revived XFL, has drawn much better than expected television ratings for its first two games, both on the road. Football fever is high as the club gears up for its first home game, at 2 p.m. Sunday against New York. It will be the first pro football game in town since the Rams jilted the region after the 2015 season.
KTVI (Channel 2), which will televise the B-Hawks’ game the following weekend, has added a locally produced pregame show to lead into the Fox network’s national telecast of that one, and will do so before the team’s two other games it is scheduled to carry.
