Sean McVay confirmed on Monday that quarterback Matthew Stafford suffered “a lateral ankle sprain” against the New Orleans Saints this week. The Rams do not expect the injury to keep Stafford from starting against the Buffalo Bills in Week 14, or even to prevent him from practicing this week.
However, this is the quarterback and it’s the ever-durable Matthew Stafford so the injury is worth monitoring moving forward as the Rams stay in contention for an NFC West title.
Rams QB Matthew Stafford suffered a lateral ankle sprain against Saints but it is not expected to affect his ability to prepare for Bills, McVay said.
