In an apparent survey of current NFL coaches, scouts, and executives asked to rank players at each position, Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford is back in the top-5. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler wrote the report and some where shocked to see the former number one pick and Super Bowl winner ranked fifth, ahead of Justin Herbert.
Some evaluators see Stafford as a bit of a kingmaker.
“He elevates the play of those around him,” a high-ranking official with an NFL team said. “Puka Nacua is a good player—but he’s not the same guy without Stafford.
