It would be a stretch to say Marcus Mariota was star-struck when he engaged in the traditional post-game quarterback moment with Aaron Rodgers.
But it certainly was meaningful for Mariota, those few seconds together in the middle of Nissan Stadium after Tennessee’s 47-25 victory over Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers.
“It’s somebody that I’ve kind of watched since I was a little kid, and somebody I’ve admired from afar,” Mariota said. “To play against him, play someone of that caliber, you know, was a lot of fun.’
On this day, more fun for Mariota than Rodgers.
