Miller has bounced around the NFL on the practice squads of the San Francisco 49ers and New York Giants since going undrafted after finishing his collegiate career with the Southern Utah Thunderbirds in 2013.
Miller has found work around the NFL as a left-footed punter that can give teams a chance to work on fielding punts from a left-footer if they employ a right-footed punter as the Rams do in P Johnny Hekker.
While it’s a short-term signing, Miller likely knows what he’s being brought in for. So there’s a professionalism here in knowing he’s a short-term addition but being willing to do so in the background.
