I can’t say that I find college football to be that interesting anymore, and I was reminded of that this morning when I picked that photo of Alabama center Landon Dickerson and remembered that the Crimson Tide won the national championship this year. Facts like that now go in one ear and out the other, because there’s nothing interesting anymore about Alabama winning a national championship.
Nothing.
Like UConn women’s basketball winning 10 titles in the 2000s, including five undefeated seasons, Alabama has obliterated the mirage of “competitive balance” in NCAA football. Head coach Nick Saban has now won six titles since 2009 and Alabama has held the number one ranking in the country in each of the last 13 years.
