In what the team was hoping to be one of the most underrated moves of the offseason, the Los Angeles Rams were hoping to see former Dallas Cowboys running back Lance Dunbar make an impact with the offense as a reliable third-down back. Unfortunately, nobody really knows what to expect from Dunbar since he hasn’t been able to participate in preseason while recovering from a knee injury, and now it looks like the Rams will have to wait even longer for the running back to suit up.
On Wednesday, Sean McVay hinted that he expects Dunbar to start the regular season off on the PUP list, which brings up the issue of whether Los Angeles should have even signed him in the first place.
