Los Angeles Rams quarterback John Wolford has been ruled out for Saturday's NFC divisional playoff game, and Jared Goff will start against the Green Bay Packers, coach Sean McVay said Thursday.
Blake Bortles will serve as the backup against Green Bay.
Wolford was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure during Saturday's wild-card game after suffering what McVay later described as a "stinger" against the Seattle Seahawks following a blow to the head.
Wolford, who had started the game, returned to Lumen Field in time to participate in the Rams' locker room celebration following the 30-20 victory, and he returned to Los Angeles with the team that night.
