Some Los Angeles Rams fans were frustrated over the fact that rookie quarterback Jared Goff was inactive for Week 1 against the San Francisco 49ers when considering all of the future draft picks the team surrendered to acquire the former California star in May. While Goff may not be starting in Week 2 against the Seattle Seahawks, the rookie is taking the next step by being on the active roster.
Goff will be flip-flopping with Sean Mannion and enter Sunday’s game against the Seahawks as the backup quarterback to Keenum. One of the main reasons why Goff was inactive last week against the 49ers was due to the fact that Jeff Fisher wanted his rookie to get used to the NFL atmosphere before stepping on the field during a regular-season game.
