The Los Angeles Rams are headed to ATL to take on the Atlanta Falcons in Week 7. In doing so, they’re starting a new face on the offensive line: David Edwards.
A fifth-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, Edwards came out of Wisconsin with noticeable athleticism for a tackle having played quarterback in high school before starting his collegiate career as a tight end and then settling in at right tackle. Edwards has never played guard before, but this is a concrete example of Rams Offensive Line Coach/Run Game Coordinator/Co-Offensive Coordinator Aaron Kromer’s penchant for cross-training linemen for different positions.
