The wide receiver position was one of the top areas to focus on for the Los Angeles Rams entering the 2017 NFL free agency period, especially after losing Kenny Britt to the Cleveland Browns. Not long after the news broke surrounding the team improving their offensive line with Andrew Whitworth, the Rams reportedly landed an under-the-radar wide receiver in Robert Woods.
Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network indicates that Los Angeles has agreed to a five-year deal worth up to $39 million for Woods, with $15 million guaranteed. The receiving numbers may not be as impressive as some of the other players from this year’s free agency class, but as Rapoport points out, the Rams should be thrilled over what Woods brings to the table from a blocking perspective.
