When Sean McVay was hired just over a year ago, it was widely believed that he’d have some serious rebuilding to do on the offensive side of the ball. He immediately assembled a very well respected staff of coaches, but there was strong skepticism surrounding a quick turnaround for the Los Angeles Rams.
Fast forward a year and the Rams are division champions and owners of a 10-6 record - which led the Pro Football Writers Association to name McVay their coach of the year today.
While it’s not the ‘official’ award, it shows that McVay quickly earned respect after becoming the youngest head coach in modern NFL history.
