With the 2018 NFL Draft officially in the books, it still doesn’t feel real that Tavon Austin is no longer in the picture after the Los Angeles Rams ended up trading the speedster to the Dallas Cowboys over the weekend in exchange for a sixth-round pick. Dating back to last season, the Rams had been attempting to find a trade partner for the former first-round pick, and after Austin recently agreed to restructure his contract to a one-year deal, the Cowboys were more willing to bring him on board.
From the perspective of Dallas, the team has already made it clear they would love to see Austin take on a similar role to Lance Dunbar from a few years ago when he was effective at running back, but also could do damage in the passing game.
