As spring will give way to a long hot summer for the Los Angeles Rams, and while the Dodgers will get the bulk of ink and airtime in the City of Angels, fans will keep a wary eye on the other home team and it’s best player in LA, and maybe in the NFL.
And it should.
It’s also a risky dance the Rams brain-trust is playing not just with Aaron Donald, but with a fan base who is looking for the team to build on the 11-5 success of 2017. Which means a step backwards with a game changing player not getting paid, is a solid template for a tedious relationship going bad that is still a bit fragile, especially with them wearing uniforms the locals don’t like.
