LOS ANGELES -- This is a pretty big two-week stretch for the Los Angeles Rams, right before their bye. They'll fly to Detroit to face the Lions on Sunday, then directly from there they'll fly all the way to London to "host" the New York Giants.
They may have to do it shorthanded.
The Rams were without three starting defensive linemen for Sunday's 30-19 loss to the Buffalo Bills, then watched their primary cornerback, Trumaine Johnson, exit early with an injury to his right ankle. The Rams' next opponent features a veteran quarterback who thrives on throwing the ball down the field to his top playmaking wide receiver, and the Rams (3-2) could be in trouble if they are shorthanded on defense.
