Prior to Thursday’s preseason finale against the Green Bay Packers, running back Justin Davis was one of numerous Los Angeles Rams looking to make one final case for a spot on the 53-man roster. At least for Davis, the former USC star seemed to be in better position than some of his teammates since he’s spent the entire preseason taking advantage of Lance Dunbar being sidelined with an injury to compete for the No. 3 running back spot behind Todd Gurley and Malcolm Brown.
Davis may not have displayed the most stellar performance against the Packers on Thursday after rushing for 55 yards on 17 carries, but the rookie still seemed to be a strong candidate to earn that No.
