The NFL awarded the LA Rams a compensatory third-round pick to compensate for the loss of Rodger Saffold. There was earlier speculation that pick would be awarded in the fourth round. Now, the Rams will have the chance to change their draft strategy to take a player earlier than anticipated. You never know how the free-agent market will play out.
The Rams will have the 84th and 104th overall selection in the upcoming draft. LA could use one of those selections to move into the first round via trade. Why wouldn’t they make a deal to get a generational talent at any given position?
