Kroenke partner looking to develop 200 acres in Maryland Heights

A business partner of St. Louis Rams owner Stan Kroenke has about 200 acres of land in Maryland Heights under contract, according to city officials.

Kroenke’s attorney, Alan Bornstein, who has partnered with Kroenke on previous real estate developments, talked to the Maryland Heights city council earlier this month.

The news, broken early Tuesday by the St. Louis Business Journal, immediately fueled speculation that Kroenke was developing a stadium site as a back-up to his proposal in Los Angeles.

Kroenke is planning a new stadium for the Rams in Inglewood, Calif.
