EARTH CITY, Mo. -- For former Rams linebacker Kevin Greene, maybe the fifth time will be a charm.
Greene, who was a semifinalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame in each of the past 10 years, has made it to the final stage the previous four seasons only to be denied in the final vote. But he's getting another chance in 2016 as the league announced Thursday night that he's one of 15 modern-era finalists to be part of the 2016 enshrinement class.
Greene's case is pretty easy to make. The three players surrounding him on the all-time sack list -- Bruce Smith, Reggie White and Chris Doleman -- are already in Canton.
