Jones' role in Rams move could help land him in Hall of Fame

Mere minutes after NFL owners voted in favor of the Rams’ relocation to Los Angeles, members of the Dallas area media covering the event in Houston talked about how it could be the final impetus in getting Jerry Jones in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

It was an odd thing to hear. Sure, Jones had helped solve the longstanding problem of no pro football in the nation’s second-largest market. But he’d done so by ripping a franchise out of St. Louis, a market that was offering several hundred million dollars in public money to keep its team.
