Johnson Signs Franchise Tender

-- While it wasn’t the first headline of the day, the Rams were able to get an important aspect of free agency accomplished to start the weekend, as cornerback Trumaine Johnson signed his franchise tender.

Head coach Jeff Fisher took note of the event during his press conference on Friday afternoon.

“Trumaine signed his franchise tender, which was good today,” Fisher said. “So we’ve got to focus on a number of the other players if we want to get done before the tampering period starts.”

By signing the tender, Johnson will, at least, be under a one-year contract with Los Angeles for 2016.
