The Jefferson County sheriff has said San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick is on his "no watch" list after the football star decided not to stand for the national anthem.
After a week of heated debates surrounding the players act of protest, Sheriff Oliver "Glenn" Boyer said in a statement on sheriff's department letterhead that he doesn't support the player's "disgusting display."
"To voice his opinion off the field, I have no problem with and it would have been a lot more appropriate and something I could have supported, but to dishonor our National Anthem and those that put their lives on the line to give him the opportunity to play football was out of line," Boyer wrote in the statement, dated Tuesday.
