Five years after he was fired by the Los Angeles Rams, the last time he was officially working with a football team, Jeff Fisher is back in the game. Kind of. Fisher will serve as an advisor at Tennessee State, which recently hired former NFL running back Eddie George to be their next head coach. Fisher drafted George to play for the Houston Oilers in 1996 and the next year the team moved to Tennessee.
Now George is the head coach at Tennessee State, a program that dates back to 1912, and it was a phone call with Fisher that convinced him to take the job despite no coaching experience.
