Former California star Jared Goff realizes it’s only a matter of time before he takes over the starting role at quarterback for the Los Angeles Rams–especially when looking at all of the draft picks they surrendered to move up to No. 1 in this year’s draft. For now, Jeff Fisher decided it would be best to go with Case Keenum as the starter for now while letting Goff learn from the sidelines.
After Saturday’s preseason game against the Dallas Cowboys, it seems like Fisher is making the right decision.
Goff’s first preseason action against the Cowboys got off to a rough start on Saturday after the rookie played most of the second quarter and completed just 4 of 9 passes for 38 yards.
