Ten weeks into the 2016 NFL season, seven rookie quarterbacks have played in 34 games with 28 starts. They’ve combined to throw 918 passes, 32 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions.
Not one of those games, starts, or throws belong to No. 1 overall pick Jared Goff. As the weeks flew by, and the Rams’ offense continued to idle in its usual spot — near the bottom of the league rankings — the questions started to mount.
Why not Goff? Coach Jeff Fisher stubbornly stuck with Case Keenum, through thick and mostly thin. The longer it went on, the more the whispers started circulating from those around the program:
