When rumors heated up at the beginning of the season regarding a possible contract extension for Jeff Fisher, there were plenty of furious Los Angeles Rams fans when considering the team has only finished with seven wins in three of the last four seasons.
Normally, a head coach that has failed to record a winning record entering his fifth season with a team would seem like the last candidate to continue the job, but the Rams seem confident enough that Fisher is their man for the long run. After finishing 7-9 in 2015 with one of the league’s top defenses, it was clear the offense was holding Los Angeles back from reaching the next level, but after Sunday’s loss to the Detroit Lions, that’s obviously not the problem.
