When the Los Angeles Rams traded up to the 39th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, they had the opportunity to do something pretty special. One day prior, they had taken Florida State edge rusher Jared Verse at 19th overall in the first round. On Friday, the Rams spent most of that day attempting to work out a deal to move up from the 52nd overall pick for a player in mind. Finally, a deal with the Carolina Panthers happened.
General manager Les Snead traded the 52nd overall pick and a fifth round selection in the 2024 draft in addition to a second round pick the following year to move up to 39th overall.
