The Rams are on the verge of clinching a playoff berth.
Well, maybe “on the verge” is a bit too strong. Sure, the Rams are 9-3 having compiled a 3-1 record in each of the season’s first three quarters. And Los Angeles does hold a one-game lead in the NFC West with four contests left in the regular season.
But while clinching the franchise’s first playoff berth since 2004 is a possibility as soon as this weekend, it’s going to take a lot of help.
The first element? The Rams have to beat the Eagles. Los Angeles can certainly take care of that on its own.
