THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. -- Finally, Greg Robinson was coming back home. The Los Angeles Rams' left tackle was born and raised in Thibodaux, Louisiana, about 60 miles from New Orleans. So more than 50 members of his family were going to the Mercedes-Benz Superdome for the Rams' Week 12 game against the Saints to watch Robinson play an NFL game in person for the very first time.
And then he was benched.
Robinson had started 38 consecutive games, but Rams coach Jeff Fisher believed the former No. 2 overall pick needed "a breather" around the midway point of his third season of inconsistent play.
