BALTIMORE • Will Sunday be a new day or the denouement?
An old coach used to tell me: “The next game is the most-important game of the season because it’s the next game.” A nice, little motivational ploy for the boys. But there are some games you can afford to lose, and then there is a fulcrum game. Rams-Ravens is a fulcrum game.
With their backup quarterback, their offensive line of matadors and their defense having allowed two game-changing scores last week, the St. Louis Rams will try to save their season Sunday.
If they lose, the 4-6 Rams then go to Cincinnati to play the currently 8-1 Bengals.
