ST. LOUIS • A judge will hear arguments in the lawsuit seeking to sidestep a public vote on stadium funding. Finally.
The newly appointed family law judge, Thomas Frawley, has scheduled a hearing for 9 a.m. on Friday, in division 22.
It will be the first hearing on the case, if it indeed happens.
One hearing has already been cancelled. Frawley is the third judge assigned to the case.
The suit was filed last month against the city of St. Louis, by the public board that runs the Edward Jones Dome. The Dome board argues in the suit that a 2002 city ordinance, which requires a public vote prior to the use of tax dollars on a new stadium, is “overly broad, vague and ambiguous.
