Second-year running back Zach Evans has yet to become a leading man for the L.A. Rams since they took him in the 2023 NFL Draft. Evans somewhat got his chance against the Chargers in LA’s second preseason game when he led the Rams with 62 yards rushing. However, it might be too little, too late for the sophomore back to secure a roster spot.
The wide receiver room has been the center of attention through the Rams’ first two preseason games. While the focus is not unwarranted, competition among running backs is closer than fans realized.
