FAST START LEADS TO EARLY TOUCHDOWN
For the second week in a row, the Rams ended an opponent’s opening drive with an interception within the first set of downs.
On 3rd-and-5, quarterback Carson Wentz fired a pass to former USC wideout Nelson Agholor. But the wideout’s college teammate Nickell Robey-Coleman had good coverage on the play, and tipped the ball in the air. Cornerback Kayvon Webster dove and secured the ball before it hit the ground for an interception.
The Rams’ offense needed only three plays from there to fully capitalize on the takeaway.
