Halftime Notes: Rams vs. Dolphins

In rookie quarterback Jared Goff’s debut, the Rams have a 7-0 lead at halftime. Here are some notes from the first two quarters.

GURLEY TOUCHDOWN

The Rams scored their first touchdown of the game to take an early lead with an efficient four-play drive on their second possession. Wide receiver Tavon Austin got it started with a seven-yard jet sweep, which got brought to the Dolphins’ 46-yard line after a 15-yard facemask penalty.

From there, Goff completed a pair of passes in a row. His first NFL completion went to rookie tight end Tyler Higbee for a three-yard gain.
