EARLY LEAD
While San Francisco got on the board first, Los Angeles responded quickly to tie and then take the lead.
Wide receiver Pharoh Cooper returned a kickoff 51 yards to the home team’s 48-yard line, setting the Rams up with strong field position. From there, interim head coach John Fassel elected to keep the offense on the field for a 4th-and-2 play form the San Francisco 30, and tight end Lance Kendricks came up with a 24-yard reception to extend the drive.
Running back Todd Gurley capped the possession with a one-yard touchdown run, which tied the game at seven.
