TAVON’S GOT SPEED
Head coach Jeff Fisher said early in the week that the Rams would make some changes in the run game to help get things going. And from the looks of it, one of those changes was going to running back Todd Gurley in the ‘wildcat’ formation.
On 2nd-and-3 from the visitors’ 27, Gurley lined up behind center Tim Barnes to take a direct snap. Wideout Tavon Austin came in motion from left to right and took a handoff from Gurley or a jet sweep. Austin then put the burners on, darting down the field for a 60-yard gain.
