Todd Gurley rushed for 140 yards on just 16 carries and scored two second-half touchdowns, leading the Rams to a 21-14 victory over the Detroit Lions Sunday at the Edward Jones Dome.
With the win, the Rams snapped a five-game losing skid and improved to 5-8. The Lions are 4-9.
Detroit made things interesting late, thanks to a 13-play, 86-yard drive capped by a 2-yard pass from Matthew Stafford to Golden Tate with 2:05 left in regulation. The Rams argued it was a pick play but to no avail.
Matt Prater's onside kick was mishandled by Rams' rookie Bradley Marquez, giving the Lions possession at their own 47 just before the two-minute warning.
