Gurley Named PFWA Offensive Player of the Year

After leading the league in yards from scrimmage, total touchdowns, and rushing touchdowns, running back Todd Gurley has been named Offensive Player of the Year by the Pro Football Writers of America.

Gurley had a tremendous season in his first year under head coach Sean McVay, accounting for 2,093 yards from scrimmage, 19 total touchdowns, and 13 rushing touchdowns. The Georgia product also finished No. 2 in yards rushing with 1,305. Gurley accomplished this all in just 15 games, as McVay elected to rest the running back in Week 17 with the Rams having already clinched the NFC West.
