After the fourth preseason game, Rams head coach Jeff Fisher said even though quarterback Jared Goff was likely to begin the season as the No. 3 QB, he had a chance to move up to backup for the home opener.
That chance has now become reality as Fisher announced Friday that Goff will be the No. 2 quarterback for Sunday’s contest against the Seahawks, behind starter Case Keenum.
“He’s going to be [No.] 2 and he’s ready to play,” Fisher said. “He’s gotten some reps throughout the week, so good for him. It will be exciting for him, knowing he’s a snap away from going in the game.
