Goff Named PFWA Most Improved Player

Quarterback Jared Goff displayed significant progress in his second season and now has been rewarded for his performance. On Friday, the Pro Football Writers of America named Goff their NFL’s Most Improved Player in 2017.

The quarterback is the first Ram to receive the award, which has been given out yearly since 2000.
Goff led the Rams to an 11-4 record in their first 15 games of 2017, completing 62.1 percent of his passes for 3,804 yards with 28 touchdowns and just seven interceptions. Goff finished No. 5 in passer rating (100.5), averaged 8.0 yards per attempt, and led the league with 12.
