At the beginning of the free agency period, all signs pointed to the Los Angeles Rams parting ways with Benny Cunningham since the running back just didn’t seem like the best fit for Sean McVay‘s system. After almost two weeks, it appears the former Rams running back has found himself a new home as a member of the Chicago Bears.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Cunningham agreed to a one-year deal to join the Bears for the 2017 season, which is a great addition for John Fox‘s squad. Cunningham may be considered a running back, but the argument can be made that he’s been more valuable on special teams throughout his career after returning 95 kicks over the last four years.
