Former L.A. Rams second round pick Van Jefferson is on his third team since being traded to the Atlanta Falcons in October, but that hasn’t stopped media from speculating that he will be Russell Wilson’s number two target come September. That is assuming that the Pittsburgh Steelers keep Wilson in the starting role at quarterback, and that they keep Jefferson on the 53-man roster. There is still a lot of time to go before Week 1.
Mark Kaboly of The Athletic recently posted that Jefferson remains in the “pole position” lead to be the Steelers number two wideout after George Pickens.
