Former Rams coach gets new contract

Kevin O’Connell helped the Los Angeles Rams win the Super Bowl and the Minnesota Vikings are still committed to their head coach and doing the same for them. The Vikings gave O’Connell, Sean McVay’s offensive coordinator from 2020-2021, a new contract extension on Tuesday.

O’Connell, who lost 27-9 to the Rams in the wild card round, has a total record of 34-17 in three seasons with Minnesota. The Vikings are still looking for their first postseason win under O’Connell and they have some huge questions to answer at quarterback, arguably the most complicated such situation in the NFL this offseason.
